Tandem Act Productions, a formed partnership between Ayodele Casel and Sarah Savelli, was founded with the intention of creating performance opportunities for themselves and other tap dancers, and to inspire and maintain interest in tap dancing for students and audiences alike.
"Tappy Holidays!" and "Who is Sarah Savelli?" were their first New York City productions in 2006. Tappy Holidays! continues to be a Holiday Tradition every year in New York City and Cleveland. Other projects in development include, " Diary of a Tap Dancer" which will be presented as part of the Salon Series at The Apollo in April 2008. "Tap Into Peace", received funding from Playhouse Square as part of the Launch Program and was presented at The Ohio Theater at Playhouse following a 3 week workshop on February 8th, 2008. Tandem Act also offers full length performance/workshop weekends in New York, Montana and Cleveland as well as "Tap Intensified", a design-your-own workshop created to further Tap education for youth groups and dance studios.
